Why Henry
Lisbon, PortugalMade for days outside.
It started with
a surf snack.
A simple, high-protein bar to take surfing. Ingredients you recognise. Something you actually want to eat.
The idea for Henry started in Lisbon. Looking for a bar to throw in a surf bag meant choosing between familiar flavours, long ingredient lists and products that didn’t quite fit.
So the brief became simple: at least 16g of protein, no more than five ingredients, and just a little date for sweetness. A short list, printed right on the wrapper.
We’re developing that bar now. Cocoa, almond and sea salt. For the drive to the beach, the break between sessions, and everything else a day outside brings.

THE SMALL PRINT, OPENLY.
Good questions.
When can I try it?
We’re developing our first bar, Cocoa & Sea Salt. Launch timing and availability in Europe will be announced once the recipe is ready.
Are these the final nutrition numbers?
No. 16 g protein and 2 g sugars per 50 g bar are development targets. The wrapper is a concept; final ingredients and verified nutrition will be published before launch. Our sugar target corresponds to the EU low-sugars threshold of 5 g per 100 g.
Why add dates?
A small amount brings natural sweetness. Date sugars still count toward total sugar, so the quantity stays small. We aren’t making a “no added sugars” claim.
What about gluten, dairy and allergens?
The proposed recipe contains egg and almonds and is not vegan or nut-free. It has no milk ingredient. Gluten-free and dairy-free claims depend on supplier and manufacturing controls and verification. Gluten-free requires no more than 20 mg/kg gluten in the finished bar.
What does simple mean to Henry?
Five individually named food ingredients, with nothing hidden inside blends. Almonds are roasted and ground; egg whites are pasteurised and dried. We don’t call the bar unprocessed. It’s a snack for days outside, without performance promises.
